Ian Bisson is an osteopath at Rebalance Clinic.
Osteopathy is a way of detecting and treating and preventing health problems by the use of gentle mobilisations, manipulations, massage and stretching of your muscles and joints.
Osteopathy treats a wide range of problems related to muscles, joints, ligaments and other soft tissue. Most people who see an osteopath do so for help with back pain, neck pain and joint pain.
How long will my session last?
Each session lasts for between 30 and 45 minutes, depending on the client (you!). In the past few months I have allowed 45 minutes for each session and the majority of clients do need the whole of this period of time - as I have grown in my knowledge, so I find I need more time with my clients to give them the best chance of getting better. But sometimes we only need 30 minutes, particularly if we are moving towards the end of our sessions together.
How much will it cost?
Each session costs £65
Can I claim this on my health insurance?
Sometimes it is possible to reclaim some or all of your treatment costs from the major health insurers. Ian is registered with BUPA International, PPP, WPA, Allianz and Simply Health (and a few others).
However we do ask for everyone to pay upfront for their sessions. On occasion Ian will agree to charge insurers directly, but only if you have a pre authorisation claim number for the specific issue you are seeing him for.
We apologise for being direct about paying up front but as a small business we just can’t survive by relying on health insurance payment. Often this can take three months from invoice to payment, particularly if there is no pre authorisation.
How do I find the clinic?
ReBalance is situated in the Commercial Arcade, on the first floor above Jack Wills. We regret that it is not possible to work with people who are unable to climb stairs. Please get in touch should you wish to discuss access.
