Charlotte Conway
Charlotte is a Guernsey girl, born in 1989 and attending Ladies College and the grammar school six form centre. Her passion for osteopathy stemmed from her own personal experiences with musculoskeletal disorders and chronic fatigue syndrome. She has hypermobility EDS (hEDS), and is passionate about helping others who suffer with this along with other hypermobility spectrum disorders.
She was inspired by local Osteopath and ReBalance founder Andre Duquemin to chase her dreams and pursue Osteopathy as a career. In 2018 she gained a Masters degree from the University College of Osteopathy (formerly the British School of Osteopathy), one of the most prestigious Osteopathy universities in Europe, where she worked in a range of specialist clinics with a wide range of patient groups including expectant mothers, HIV, and a chronic pain programme.
While in London she also qualified in sports massage, Acupuncture, and Naturopathy. She specialises in musculoskeletal and visceral treatments to help a wide range of aches and pains and improve quality of life. As an Osteopath she aim to restore optimal function and balance to the human body, also considering the mind and its direct mechanical relationship to body structures. She designs unique patient centred integrative treatments using osteopathic techniques, acupuncture, massage, and nutritional and supplement advice as required.
Working with CFS/ME patient’s is a special interest and another subject she is passionate about. She found through her research and experience that combining Osteopathy with individualised lifestyle, nutritional, and supplement advice was successful in improving the health of many sufferers, especially when considering there are so many underlying causes that can be missed/ overlooked.
She has worked closely with patients suffering with chronic pain in the OsteoMap program, a pioneering program which recently gained NHS funding due to its success rates. She has also studied functional neuromuscular rehabilitation with the world renowned Dr Eyal Lederman.
She has also worked locally with personal trainers to tailor personal rehabilitation and exercise programmes.
She attends regular professional development seminars, and works hard to keep up to date with cutting edge developments in all three medical disciplines she is trained in order to achieve the best result possible for her clients. She is an accredited member of the following institutions:
